Hunger and Poverty

Dear People, do you know that every year, nearly 9,000,000 children die due to hunger. TODAY, over 24,000 children die every day around the world. In which it's equivalent to a child die every 3.6 seconds you count, 16-17 children die every minute you lived and a 2004 Asian Tsunami occuring every 10 days. The term “Children” I'm using in this context means infants under the age of 5. It is a weapon of mass destruction and they are a total silent killer. In spite of the scale of this daily/ongoing catastrophe, it rarely manages to achieve, much less sustain, prime-time, headline coverage.

Days ago in the news, a British child kidnapped in Portugal. This is definitely a tragic story that needs reporting, but why, media outlets that pride themselves in outstanding international media coverage, is the plight of millions of children dying not daily headlines? WHY?
And they “die quietly in some of the poorest villages on earth, far removed from the scrutiny and the conscience of the world. Being meek and weak in life makes these dying multitudes even more invisible in death.”

So people, cherish your food, don't waste 'em. Help spread this message who are still unaware of this situation. We are all a similar human race by which they do not have to suffer this way.

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
