The Opposite of Luxury

Some people think that luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not, it is the opposite of vulgarity.

Get Over With It

It will never and won't want to make it, so just get over with it. The only way to get over with it is by replacement. And seal it away with the most powerful spell right down to the bottom of the heart as

Supercars Student

His burnt 458 Italia.
We could spend hours on how jealous we are about this 21-year-old, just god damn 21! or how spoiled he is and how he’ll never know what it’s like to have a tough life. But we just have to respect his pure taste in supercars and the fact that he actually pursued an education rather than sitting back, driving his fine collection of cars and living off his (clearly affluent) businessman father.Student Dhiaa Al-Essa has 30 ultra luxury, fast motors in his garage including five Ferraris (F430, F430 Novitec Rosso, F458 Italia, California, 599 GTB), five Porsches (997 Turbo, 997 GT3 RS, 997 Turbo Spyder, Cayenne Turbo, Panamera Turbo), a Bentley Continental GT, five Mercedes (McLaren SLR, S65 AMG, G55AMG, E63 AMG, CL65 AMG), four BMWs (M5, X6M, X5M, 760Li), two Audis (R8, A8), a Lexus 460 and a Maybach 62 all equates to a total of £4.5 million- a total of nearly RM100million if they were owned in Malaysia. (Why 100mil? Malaysia's high taxes). The supercars you see above are just a handful of exotics owned by just a 21-years old student.

"The Mercedes McLaren SLR is my favourite. I love the way it looks and drives and it's also been reliable for a car out in the 50 degree temperature. With a top speed of 205mph, it's also very fast", says Dhiaa. The international playboy, whose father's business empire spans everything from property stock markets, is currently studying for a degree in engineering in Riyadh, his home city. He is one of many rich youngsters from the Middle East who descend on Europe and America every summer to escape the scorching desert temperatures. His summer tour this year includes jaunts to the upmarkets of London, Montreal, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York . The playboys have infuriated residents in Knightsbridge by turning the posh area into a multi-million pound race track.

The poshy and undoubtly fast Mercedes SLR McLaren.

Not enough? Of course not! He's reportedly making orders for the Koenigsegg Agera (a Swedish hypercar looking to topple the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport’s 267mph world record top speed), a Ferrari GTO Roadster and a Buggati Veyron. The £1.6 million is a gift from his father for completing his engineering degree and 22nd birthday gift All his cars have a personalised number plate featuring the figures 070, which sets him back around £100,000 every time he buys a new car. His upcoming Agera will feature diamond-laced leather interior with his signature stitched on the seats and a special key made out of gold. CRAZY !! Isn't it?

The Veyron's top speed breaker, Koenigsegg Agera..

Reportedly speaking from his mansion in New York, he said "I love speed, but th limit in Saudi Arabia is 75mph so I'm pretty limited. So, when the Bugatti arrives, I hope to take it to Germany where you can drive as fast as you can on parts of autobahn". This chap must be feeling poor, his Ferrari 458 Italia has recently just burned to cinders during the massive fire in Heathrow Airport's warehouse. The car cost him £300,000 and is decked out with a £50,000 Dolce&Gabbana interior. But, Dhiaa's torment will be short-lived as he is replacing the 458 with the production number 70 of 70 Ferrari 599 GTO Roadster.

A 21 year old having all these? How lucky is that. Envy is a cruel mistress. And we shall not succumb to her petty, poisonous advances.

Angelica

Olivia Ong
Such beautiful figure and voice she had.

She has the most sensual, soulful, innocent vocals I've ever heard in my life. One of the new wave of Singapore talent being exported internationally and has an incredible talent in singing. Though some of her songs isn't written by her, she's able to turn songs in to exceptionally soothing tune. My favourites were her Sometimes When We Touch, Close To You and I Believe. You should go check it out :)

Fastidiously Engineered

Designed by possibly the most fastidious design engineer you could ever meet, a continuously developed species of Pagani for over a decade, a car bonded by materials you could never see in any other cars in this world, an Italian ultra-supercar a step above Ferrari or Lamborghini's finest machine, so expensive in fact it's called the 'billionaire's toy' by many. It's none other than the latest creation by Horacio Pagani's final iteration of his iconic supercar, meet the
Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster. This is it. God damn it! It's beautiful.
Today, a new Zonda is an extremely expensive car and you'll need a very deep pockets if you want to take the advantage of this last chance to join the Zonda club. This Cinque Roadster (pronounced as chin-keh) costs an astonishingly £1.5million (which is somewhere north of RM30million if it's sold in Malaysia and we had only one of the older Zonda S in Malaysia). Question is why is it so expensive? Simple, because it's Pagani, just like the price for a pair of bespoke shoes from Berluti. So exclusive in fact only 5 will ever be built and all had been spoken for before it was launched, therefore owning one would be elusive. Besides, it's being a singularly bespoke car even it's components made on a largely individual basis including the engine. The first of five of a masterpiece. Lucky fella, eh?

Just like it's coupe version, it's body tub, crafted from what Pagani called it their 'wonder material' of carbo-titanium. A type of carbonfibre with threads of titanium woven into it which allows Pagani to shed some extra kilos from it's already bantam-weight monocoque chassis while also adding extra stiffness to the tub. So tough in fact it's stronger than concrete. Everywhere you look in the car there's high-tech stuff, from magnesium-titanium suspension to brake discs from carbonfibre rather than conventional carbon ceramics or heavy steels, even the bolts are made out of magnesium.Truly magnificent isn't it? Everywhere you look, it's carbonfibre.

Behind the driver sits a massive Mercedes AMG's 7.3 litre V12 engine, which gives an output of 678bhp which makes it the most powerful street legal production ever made by Pagani (besides the Pagani's track-only 750bhp Zonda R). That's gonna propel this beast from nought to hundred in mere 3.4 seconds and all the way to top speed of 348km/h with a mind-boggling 556 horsepower per ton (mind you a Bugatti Veyron has only 529hp per ton ratio).
It's rather like having a stethoscope on the heart of the car.

Notice that brilliant prominent snorkel-style air-intake hanging amidships, like a praying mantis eyeing up it's next victim, it helps feed air into the engine and to provide some aero effect. The Cinque's ceramic-coated exhausts howl magnificently as you wind on the revs, the noise is simply spectacular. Floor the gas pedal, wait until the rev-counter hits the red paint, flick the right-hand gearshift paddle and outside the car the noise is accompanied by a stab of blue-flame from all four tailpipes.
Zonda's iconic quad tailpipes never changes.

Bucket seats are a new design made by Toora and are unique only to the Cinque.

It's just absolutely stunning to look at. Agree?

Well, it's a shame that only very few people get to experience this phenomenon of a car. Is it just another billionaire's toy or a real driver car? It turns out to be both I think, being stunning to look at and simply magnificent to drive one. This is definitely the best Zonda ever made and probably the last Zonda and it was rumoured that a brand new replacement named the C9 is coming real soon. I'm hooked to it, seriously.
